Because an Estonian company is also an EU company, it is wise to run an EU-wide trademark search to ensure the name is not already protected elsewhere in the single market.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"475\" data-end=\"952\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">A legal entity may reserve one business name for <strong data-start=\"524\" data-end=\"538\">six months<\/strong> at a time, specifying both the intended <strong data-start=\"579\" data-end=\"593\">legal form<\/strong> (e.g. O\u00dc, AS, MT\u00dc) and <strong data-start=\"617\" data-end=\"638\">field of activity<\/strong>. Only one active reservation is permitted per entity, and the name can be used solely for the chosen form and activity.
